Banana Cream Pie Smoothie

August 19, 2015 by Kim Gordon 2 Comments

This creamy, dreamy banana cream pie smoothie is easy and delicious.
This creamy, dreamy banana cream pie smoothie is easy and delicious.

Some of my best childhood food memories were of fluffy banana cream pies and Southern-style banana pudding. I especially loved the one that the Black Eyed Pea restaurant served. I used to work there as a teenager and lived for those large luscious helpings of fresh bananas, vanilla wafers, whipped cream and pudding! This smoothie tastes just like those fond memories, and it’s actually pretty good for you! It’s healthy enough for breakfast but decadent enough for dessert or a snack. I developed this recipe for my friends on Center Cut Cook.com. Get the recipe by clicking here.

When I was growing up, we had Southern-style banana pudding quite often – definitely a favorite even when Southerners moved north.
